Janet: That whole thing was so terrible. My husband was gone and my son flailing—I thought I was going to lose him.
Nate: I didn’t know all those details, but it sounds right. It’s still weird though.
Tamara: What is weird?
Nate: Hearing someone else talk about you. Seeing yourself through their eyes. Creepy.
Janet: I didn’t know much of that either. He almost hit her? I don’t think that’s true. I can’t believe that. He fought, he always fought, but he would never hit a woman, he would never hit her.
Tamara: Even under the influence?
Janet: Well… He didn’t do it. That is what matters.
Tamara: So does it sound right, like he wrote it?
Janet: (reluctantly) I guess.
